Spring Term 2 2025
Welcome back to Laura’s Class!
We hope you all had a lovely half term holiday.
The topic in Spring Term 2, ‘Invaders’ will involve finding out all about the Romans. In English we will be reading ‘Pinocchio’ and we will be practising our writing skills to put together a set of instructions on ‘How to make Roman Flatbread and Honey Biscuits’. We will be learning about Forces and Magnets in Science and Number Sense, Fractions and Weight in Maths lessons. In Food Technology we will making classic Roman foods and in DT we will be making our own shields. We will also be making Mother’s Day and Easter cards to send home to you. We will share pictures of our work with you very soon.

I’m Carly, the student teacher in Laura’s class. I am not new to Holly Grove, I was a TA here for the last 3 years. This is where I discovered my passion for working with children with SEND. I am a mum of 2 young boys, I enjoy staying active and being outdoors.
