Pupil Premium

Additional Information

Children Looked After (CLA)

Each pupil who is CLA receives £1,800 per year. The aim of this funding is to ensure an equality of opportunity and to ensure that pupils are not disadvantaged due to their unsettled start to life. The funding enables schools to offer additional support to pupils so that they are able to achieve as well as their non CLA peers.

Previously Looked After Children

A previously looked after child is one who is no longer looked after in England or Wales because s/he is the subject of an adoption, special guardianship (SGO) or child arrangements order which includes arrangements relating to with whom the child is to live, or when the child has been adopted from state care outside England or Wales. If parents can give evidence to school that their child has been adopted the school can claim additional funding to support the learning needs of their child.
